Yoga means to join or deep thought. The state in which you become one with the object of meditation signifies the real yoga. These days people associate yoga with the techniques which involve standing upside down and sweeping actions of arms and feet. This is yogasan and not yoga. These are methods of preparing the body for yoga. The asanas are required to make the body flexible and strong. Yogasana is the first step towards yoga. After the asanas comes pranayama, then pratayahara and then only comes dharana and dhyan. Yoga is realized when you begin to acquire the quality and nature of the object and begin to experience oneness with all.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Remember this: Here we are talking about dhyan (contemplation). I have not found a single person on this earth who does not contemplate. Everyone contemplates whether he is stupid, ignorant, or a materialist.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra When we are craving for something, in that state we can say that we became attached to that. Craving, tempting, desiring, these are the results of attachment. Be always aware. That our desires have two aspects: one is related without essential needs, the other is related with mental satisfaction only. So whatever is essential, that is not desire. Try to discriminate between need and desire.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Mental satisfaction cannot be obtained by money, or any worldly thing, because there is no end to desire. Complete detachment is complete emancipation. Attachment is bondage, detachment is emancipationBrahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Everything is changing day and night, so any worldly thing can only give us satisfaction for a moment, for a while, and this mentary satisfaction creates a great dissatisfaction too. Only knowledge, only observation, only discrimination, only wisdom can remove your craving, your attachment and dissatisfaction.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Satisfaction is related with our own self. What ever is valuable in the world, that thing is valuable because of our own presence. If there is no self to experience them, then what is the use of all these things? If the self exists, the house is valuable. If the self exists, then the body is valuable, senses are valuable, and material objects are valuable. Everything has value due to the self. When you understand, that you are giving value to everything, then you will realize that the self is more valuable than anything in the world. Think in this way and automatically satisfaction will come in your life.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Donation is to use all abilities and what ever you have for the welfare of all beings. It is a great donation to devote your knowledge, strength, will and power, your money, body and senses for the benefit of all mankind. Sacrifice means to make an oblation of your own breath, energy and life and offer that to the Godhead. The sacrifice of your ego, desires and individual entity is called a great Yagya. That is sacrifice. If you do donation and sacrifice, automatically discipline will come in your lifeBrahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Meditation does not give something new to you. It is only for making you able to realize your own real status. It enables you to realize, what you really are.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra Do not think that after realizing the highest level of consciousness, you will gain something. There is nothing to gain in this world. Gain and loss both are only related with your individuation.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra In this individual, you will never find peace and tranquillity; because individuation is not real; that is not eternal. Individuation is just a transitory projection. In reality you are infinite. That is a doubtless fact. You are not aware about your infiniteness. Through meditation, you can realize that very infiniteness. When you realize it, you will be the happiest person in the world. Without any possession, any belonging, any effort you will be the richest person in the world. My dear, when you will realize your ownself, you will know your greatness.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra When we meditate and recite 'Om', we start from "Muladhara" the lowest chakra (the lowest centre of life energy in our body) and bring it upward towards the brahma chakra, (the highest centre of our life energy, that is located in the top of our head). In this way, you are measuring the whole universe, because according to the Vedic philosophers, your physical structure is the model of the whole universe.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra When wise men search the root cause of all the religions, they reach at one same point, which is eternal sound. That eternal sound is "Om". When you sit calm and quiet without any external or internal movement, then you can listen to this sound. This divine sound is always going on without any effort. Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra The result of satvic renunciation is ascension to Godhead. Tamasic renunciation will result in the descent to hell and rajasic abandonment will bear no fruit. Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra If you want to be a karma yogi, you must leave all sankalpas, even the good ones. Where there is a sankalpa, there is movement in mind. Leave all sankalpas and become thoughtless. Put your mind into infinity then automatically your mind will be stable.Brahmrishi Vishwatma Bawra
